His Eminence Isidoros, Archbishop of Hierapolis

Was born in Achladea, Trikala, in 1973. He arrived in Jerusalem in 1986. After graduating from the Patriarchal School, he was appointed to serve in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. He was tonsured a Monk and ordained a Deacon in 1991. In 1996 he was ordained a Priest and received the title of Archimandrite.
He served as deacon and Priest in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. In 2005 he was appointed as Assistant Sacristan and in 2013 Elder Sacristan of the Holy Sepulchre. He studied the Sacred Sciences at the Theological School of the University of Athens.
On 19th February 2013 he was elected Archbishop of Hierapolis. His ordination was held on 3rd March 2013 in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
In October 2013 he was appointed Chairman of the School Board of the Patriarchal School of Jerusalem.
In 2017 he received his postgraduate degree on the Old Testament from the University of Athens.
