VISITS TO HIS BEATITUDE
On Saturday, June 16th / 29th, H.H.B. received:
- His Eminence the Archbishop Makarios of Qatar for matters of the Holy Archdiocese of Qatar.
- A forty-member group of young and old people of different specialities and different Christian organizations of the Bible competition group, being examined in Biblical writings and receiving awards of distinction.
His Beatitude blessed and praised this initiative and urged its members to continue in depth the knowledge and research of the Holy Bible, keeping the word of the Lord “Search the scriptures, for in them there is eternal life”.
His Beatitude gave the first two awarded young women a Holy Cross and a silver icon of Jerusalem and offered a copy of the Old Testament to one of the group members, saying that this Initiative strengthenes their Christian cooperation and participation in the Church. The awarded young women thanked the Beatitude and addressed Him and the Directors of this organization Mr. Salem Tiotri and Nabil Tiotri.
