DECISIONS OF THE HOLY AND SACRED SYNOD OF THE PATRIARCHATE OF JERUSALEM

On Thursday, December 3/16, 2022, the Holy and Sacred Synod of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, meeting under the Presidency of H.H.B. our Father and Patriarch of Jerusalem Theofilos took care of various issues and made the following decisions:

Αppointed Hierodeacon Dositheos as the caretaker of the Holy Monastery of Saint Spyridon, which is located in the Old City near Damascus Gate.

Approved the application of Mr Jiries Halil Andraus Khalifa for ordination as a deacon and then as a priest to serve the flock of the Patriarchate in Jordan.

Approved the application of Mr Jihad Aranki, a native of Taibe, for ordination as a deacon and then as a priest, to serve in the Birzet Community of the Ramallah area.

Appointed the priest Antonios Azini as Head of the Community of Zdeide.

Appointed the Elder Father Spyridon Superior in Turan and Kufr Smea.

Appointed Fr. Elian Spyridon Superior to the Aylamboun Community.

Approved the application of the novice monk Andreas Hadjistaboulidis for tonsure and consequent joining the Hagiotaphite Brotherhood.
