SERB MEMBER OF PRESIDENCY OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA VISITS THE PATRIARCHATE

On Tuesday, 6/19 July 2022, H.E Milorad Dodik, Serb member of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, visited the Patriarchate, accompanied by his wife, associates, and the staff of the Embassy of Bosnia in Israel.

His Excellency, Mr Milorad Dodik, was received by His Beatitude and Hagiotaphite Fathers.

At this visit, Mr Dodik expressed his joy and thanksgiving for the visit, and His Beatitude spoke about the importance of visiting Jerusalem, a city exclusively claimed by many. However, it belongs to all people and nations, as it has been watered by Christ’s blood on the Cross and sanctified by His burial and Resurrection.

Such a Holy City is the one that the Patriarchate and the Hagiotaphite Brotherhood safeguard throughout the centuries, despite the challenges by radical Israeli elements and the representatives of Globalization.

The Church of Jerusalem is responsible for welcoming the pilgrims who are being sanctified by the grace of the Holy Places; they are thousands of people from all walks of life, as well as officials, representatives of governments and countries.

Explaining to His Beatitude the situation in Bosnia, Mr Dodik offered a donation of 100.000 euros for the renovation project at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and exchanged gifts with His Beatitude before leaving to venerate the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
