THE FEAST OF THE HOLY ANCESTORS OF GOD JOACHIM AND ANNA

On the commemoration of the parents of the Mother of God, the righteous ancestors of God Joachim and Anna, the Divine Liturgy was officiated by His Eminence Metropolitan Joachim of Helenoupolis, at the Holy Monastery dedicated to them near Stephen’s Gate, or Lions’ Gate. Co-celebrant’s to His Eminence were, Archimandrite Makarios, Priests George and Nectarios and Hierodeacon Simeon, hosted by the renovator and Hegoumen of the Holy Church, Archimandrite Meletios.
