THE FEAST OF THE SYNAXIS OF THEOTOKOS IN BEIT SAHOUR

Two days after Christmas, on Thursday December 27, 2019/January 9, 2020, the Feast of the Synaxis of Theotokos was celebrated (one day later) at the Church dedicated to her in Beit Sahour, led by the Most Reverend Archbishop Philoumenos of Pella, with co-celebrants the Archimandrite Philoumenos, Hegoumen of the H. Monastery of Prophet Elisha, Arab-speaking Priests form Beit Sahour and the neighbouring Bethlehem and Beit Jala, and Deacon Demetrios. The Service was attended by Orthodox Christians of Beit Sahour and pilgrims.

The Episcopal Entourage and the faithful were hosted by the Hegoumen of the Shrine of the Shepherds Archimandrite Ignatios.
