On Friday morning, May 26/June 8, 2018, His Beatitude the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos arrived in Larnaka from Tel Aviv by Aegean airlines, escorted by Geronda Secretary-General Most Reverend Archbishop Aristarchos of Constantina and Archdeacon Mark. His Beatitude and His entourage were received by the representative of His Beatitude the Archbishop Chrysostom of Cyprus, His Grace Bishop Christophoros of Karpasia, and the Exarch of the Holy Sepulchre in Cyprus Most Reverend Metropolitan Timotheos of Bostra.

Leaving the airport, His Beatitude arrived at the Exarchy of the Patriarchate in Nicosia, where He venerated the Holy Church of the Ascension and St. Philoumenos the Hieromartyr and then had a short rest.

At noon His Beatitude participated at a meal, offered in His honour by His Beatitude the Archbishop Chrysostom of Cyprus.

In the evening, His Beatitude opened the proceedings of the International Scientific Conference “Cyprus-Holy Land Relations” which was held at the former building of the Archdiocese of Cyprus in cooperation with the Cypriot Studies Company, under its President Dr. Charalambos G. Hotzakoglou and the Exarchy of the Holy Sepulchre, under the Most Reverend Metropolitan Timotheos of Bostra, from Friday May 26/June 8, 2018, to Sunday May 28/June 10, 2018. In this Conference distinguished speakers presented the diverse matter of the relationship between Cyprus and the Holy Land.

On Friday evening, after the opening of the Conference, the Exarch Most Reverend Metropolitan Timotheos of Bostra offered a reception at the courtyard of the Exarchy.

Having blessed the Conference proceedings on its opening, His Beatitude departed by Aegean Airlines and arrived in Tel Aviv at 02.00 a.m. on Saturday morning, May 27/June 9, 2018, and from the airport He returned to Jerusalem by car.
