THE FEAST OF ALL SAINTS AT THE PATRIARCHATE

On Saturday May 20/June 2, 2018, the Apodosis of Pentecost and the Feast of All Saints were celebrated by transference at the Holy Chapel of All Saints inside the Church of the Holy Monastery of Sayda Naya near the Patriarchate, at the Christian Quarter.

This Feast has been established by the Church as a Feast of the Pentecostarion, and is celebrated soon after Pentecost, in order to show us that All the Saints of the Church, known and unknown, are a fruit of the coming down of the Holy Spirit, a fruit of the work of the Father by the incarnate Jesus Christ Who came to earth and this work was sealed by the Holy Spirit.

This Feast was celebrated on Saturday morning with the Divine Liturgy, which was officiated by the Most Reverend Archbishop Aristarchos of Constantina with co-celebrants Archimandrite Ieronymos, Archimandrite Ignatios, Archimandrite Demetrios and Hierodeacon Mark. The choir was led by the choir leader of the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen Archimandrite Eusevios and the service was attended by monks, nuns and local faithful.

The officiating Archbishop delivered a Sermon on All Saints before the Holy Communion.

After the Divine Liturgy, the renovator of the Holy Monastery Nun Seraphima offered a reception for all at the hegoumeneion and the courtyard of the Church.
