THE FEAST OF THE APODOSIS OF PASCHA AT THE PATRIARCHATE

The Feast of the Apodosis of Pascha was celebrated by the Patriarchate for the completion of the forty festal days since the day of the Resurrection on Wednesday March 3/16, 2018.

The Matins of Easter Day were sang on this feast, and the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Monastic Church of Saints Constantine and Helen of the Hagiotaphite Brotherhood.

Then His Beatitude and the Hagiotaphite Archbishops, Priests and Monks went to venerate the Holy Tomb and Golgotha through the St. James’ staircase, while the Divine Liturgy was being celebrated at the Catholicon, officiated by the Most Reverend Archbishop Theophanes of Gerassa at the presence of many pilgrims.

After the Paschal Divine Liturgy the Episcopal entourage was received by His Beatitude at the Patriarchate.
