THE FEAST OF THE GREAT MARTYR ST. PARASKEVI AT THE PATRIARCHATE

On Tuesday 26th July / 8th August 2017, the memory of the Holy Great Martyr Paraskevi was observed, who martyred in Rome at the reign of the Emperor Antoninus in 140 A.D.

At the Holy Monastery of St. Basil, due to the icon of the Saint which is kept there, Vespers in the evening and the Divine Liturgy in the morning of the feast were led by the Master of Ceremonies of the Patriarchate Archimandrite Bartholomew, with co-celebrant the Archdeacon Mark and the choir leader of the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen Archimandrite Eusevios was singing, at the participation of a congregation of monks, nuns and members of the community of Jerusalem.

During the Divine Liturgy H.H.B. our Father and Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos visited the Holy Monastery escorted by Hagiotaphite Fathers.

The Patriarchal Entourage and the Congregation were offered a reception by the good keeper of the Monastery nun Thecla.
