HOLY WEEK AND EASTER IN QATAR

The holy Services of the Holy Week and the Luminous Resurrection were celebrated at the Holy Archdiocese of Qatar with exceptional brilliance and according to the Church order of the Jerusalem Patriarchate.

A vast crowd of faithful from the Emirate towns as well as from Saudi Arabia participated in the Holy Communion in piety and contrition.

The Services were observed in the Greek, Arabic, Slavonic, Serbian, Romanian and English languages for the greater participation of a multilingual congregation. The Choir singers delivered the hymns in a marvellous way and did the choirs for the Holy Friday Lamentations in the Arabic and Greek languages.

On Holy Friday and Holy Saturday nights, present at the Services were the Ambassadors of Cyprus, Serbia, the Consul of Greece and the delegate of the Embassy of Moldavia in Qatar. The end of the Divine Liturgy of the Resurrection was followed by the blessing of the Easter eggs.
