THE FEAST OF THE SYNAXIS OF THEOTOKOS IN BEIT JALA

One day after Christmas on Sunday 26th December 2016 /8th January 2017, the feast of the Synaxis of Theotokos was celebrated as a sequence of the feast of Christmas in the Greek Orthodox Arab-speaking Community of Beit Jala, near the town of Bethlehem, and in the Holy Church of Theotokos. The D. Liturgy was led by Most Reverend Archbishop Teophanis of Gerrassa, with concelebrants the Hegoumen of Beit Jala Archimandrite Narkissos, and the Priests of Beit Jala Elders Georgios, Pavlos and Jouseph, and the participation of the noble congregation of the Orthodox Parish of this town.

After the D. Liturgy, there was a reception for the Episcopal Entourage at the reception hall near the Church.
