SUNDAY AFTER THE ELEVATION OF THE HOLY CROSS

On Sunday, the 19^th of September/2^nd of October 2016, the Elevation of the Cross was commemorated at Holy Cross Monastery, in West Jerusalem, near the Jewish House of Parliament, wherein the Church traditionally believes that the tree was planted from which the Lord’s Cross was made. The Most Reverend Joachim, Metropolitan of Zambia, led the feast having as concelebrants Hagiotaphite Hieromonks, for a pious congregation from the Greek parish of the Old and New City.

After the divine Liturgy, the hegoumen, Archimandrite Claudius, hosted guests to lunch.
