THE CEREMONY OF THE HOLY UNCTION AT THE PATRIARCHATE

On the evening of Holy Wednesday, the 27^th of April 2016, the ceremony of the Holy Unction was performed at the Monastic Church of Sts Constantine and Helen, led by Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem, having as concelebrants Hagiotaphite Primates and Hieromonks. Archimandrite Eusebius, head cantor of the church, sang on the right, as Archimandrite Alexios and novice Georgios Pananikolaou sang on the left. A pious crowd of pilgrims from the Orthodox countries of Greece, Cyprus, Ukraine and Romania were anointed through their participation in the Crucifixion and Resurrection of the Lord.
