STUDENTS OF THEOLOGY FROM THE PATRIARCHATE OF SERBIA VISIT THE PATRIARCHATE

On Monday, the 29th of September/12th of October 2015, seventeen senior students of the Saint Sava Orthodox Christian Seminary of the Patriarchate of Serbia visited the Patriarchate. They were accompanied by their teacher, Mr Radomir Vrucinic and father Budimir Kojic, as well as by a group of pilgrims from Russia.

The students and pilgrims were warmly welcomed by His Beatitude Theophilos, Patriarch of Jerusalem, who went on to congratulate them on their choice of studies and on their theoria [contemplation] of the Holy Land, where the sacrament of the Divine Economy was performed. Patriarch Theophilos talked to guests about the spiritual strengthening provided by their pilgrimage to the Holy Land, about the difficulties and dangers of our times and the timeless redemptive significance of the sacrifice of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that was followed by His glorious Resurrection.

On the conclusion of the meeting, His Beatitude offered the book on the History of the Church of Jerusalem, by the ever-memorable Chrysostomos Papadopoulos, to the heads of the delegation, and also Jerusalemite eulogias to students and pilgrims.

Extending thanks, the students’ leaders offered His Beatitude gifts as tokens of their love and respect.
