HIS BEATITUDE CONFERS TITLES ON GRADUATES OF VILLAGE OF THE SHEPHERDS SCHOOL
On the afternoon of Saturday the 3rd/16th of May 2015, the Patriarch of Jerusalem, accompanied by the Patriarchal Commissioner and other Hagiotaphites, visited Beit-Sahur, called the Village of the Shepherds in commemoration of the shepherds led by angels in the sky towards the newborn Lord lying in the manger.
In this town of the Palestinian Autonomy, the Patriarchate maintains a thriving Greek Orthodox Arab-speaking Community and an integrated School for pre-school, primary school and high school students. A total of 550 students attend the schools employing 53 teachers.
His Beatitude was welcomed by the School Principal, Mr George Sahade, teachers, the town’s vicar and f. Issa Mousleh. The students’ parents and relatives were also present.
