THE MEMORIAL OF HAGIOTAPHITE FATHERS
On the Sunday which preceded the Nativity of Christ, the 23rd of December/5th of January 2014, a Memorial for Hagiotaphite Fathers was performed in the All-holy Church of the Resurrection.
Leading the divine Liturgy prior to the Memorial, was His Eminence Theodosios, Archbishop of Sevasteia.
Officiating after the divine Liturgy, was His Beatitude Theophilos, our Father and Patriarch of Jerusalem with co-officiating Hagiotaphite Primates, Hieromonks and deacons.
Commemorated during the Memorial were the long-deceased Patriarchs of Jerusalem, Primates, Hieromonks, Deacons, Monks and Nuns.
At the conclusion of the memorial, His Beatitude ascended in procession to the Patriarchates where after the distribution of the kollyva [consecrated wheat], He wished for the blessed memory and eternal repose of all long-departed Fathers.
