EASTER VISITS OF THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITIES OF THE HOLY LAND TO THE PATRIARCHATE OF JERUSALEM

On Tuesday, 24^th of March / 6^th of April 2010, the third day of Easter, His Beatitude Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III and the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre received at the Hall of the Throne of the Patriarchate, the Christian Communities of the Holy Land namely the Franciscan, Latin, Syrian, Anglican, Lutheran and the Ethiopian, with the exception of the Armenian who did not come, contrary to the usual Easter tradition.

His Beatitude, during His address to the other doctrines, emphasized that the Resurrection of the Lord is the utmost joyous worldwide event, which unites all people and encourages nations to establish peace between them. The leaders of the other denominations expressed their wishes to His Beatitude on the occasion of Christ’s Resurrection and received from Him the customary Easter eggs.
